POCAS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Importing and Exporting Associate to join our dynamic team. As an Importing and Exporting Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing the import and export processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Your responsibilities will include coordinating shipments, preparing necessary documentation, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate import and export activities, including shipment scheduling, customs clearance, and transportation logistics.
• Prepare and review import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments.
• Communicate with internal teams and external partners to address any shipment-related issues or delays.
• Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to stakeholders and resolving any potential discrepancies.
• Stay updated on import and export regulations, trade agreements, and industry trends to ensure compliance and optimize operations.
• Support the development and implementation of import and export strategies to minimize costs and enhance efficiency.
• Conduct data analysis and generate reports on import and export activities, identifying areas for improvement.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance the overall supply chain process.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in business administration, supply chain management, international trade, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Proficiency in using trade compliance software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to identify process improvements and resolve issues.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
