Archie Bolden, a leading architecture & interior design firm based in Atlanta with offices around the world, is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate of an accredited architectural program who possesses a passion for architecture and design and a desire to grow within the field. The responsibilities or the duties of the architectural designer are:

• Collating and organizing technical building information from architects & designers
• Collaborating with interior architecture & design team
• Investigating and offering technical advice on factors that affect building developments, including user needs, site and building surveys, and regulatory requirements
• Monitoring designs for health and safety and contributing to risk assessments
• Coordinating detailed design information
• Preparing specifications for construction work
• Preparing drawings, plans, and documents for statutory approvals
• Preparing applications for approval by regulatory bodies
• Contributing to meetings and document preparation
• Researching new design processes, building legislation and technology.
• Coordinate with project managers and architects to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Preparing construction documents
• Assisting with construction administration
• Assessing project submittals and responding to Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Guiding and managing the creation of permit and construction documentation sets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 3-4 years’ experience in residential and/or commercial sectors
• Excellent technical skills that can transform design ideas/ sketches into detailed drawings
• A high level of presentation and communication skills
• Knowledge of various building materials and methods
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience working on high value projects
• Experience working across several projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to go out in the field as well as office.
• Expert proficiency with all applicable software packages including but not limited to Revit, AutoCAD, MS Windows; MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; Adobe Suite.
