Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Amada press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Select the appropriate tooling and materials for each job.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure products meet quality standards and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning and lubricating parts.
- Troubleshoot issues with machine operation and make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a press brake operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to accurately measure and calculate dimensions.
- Knowledge of different types of metal and their properties.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Visually inspect parts for cosmetic defects.
