Canton Food Company (CFC) is a cash and carry wholesale food company that has an opening for an experienced Purchasing (Buyer) for our team of professionals in Los Angeles . CFC offers competitive wages, good benefits, and excellent pension program.
Position Summary:
Purchasing (Buyer) for Grocery; Primary Food Products
Job Responsibilities:
Reponsibilities include but not limited to the following:
*Secure and analyzes quotations, negotiates, prices and term with suppliers and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities .
*Review product performance and makes decisions to maximize sales performance as well as income performance.
*Manage the quality and performance of category products.
* Able to forecast procurement of category assigned and miantaining inventory level.
*Recommend new products and product lines for our category.
*Manage purchasing authorization levels for private and national brands.
* Minimum of three years experience.
*Strong verbal and communication skills.
*Fast pace, detailed oriented and multitasking.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
*Proven negotiating skills.
*Proficient in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
