Position and Responsibilities

Supporting the Chief Operating Engineer, you will provide leadership, guidance, assistance, and technical instruction to the Powerhouse operating engineers to ensure safe, continuous, effective, and efficient operation of the 1st class power plant and site utilities in accordance with the TSSA Boilers, Pressure Vessels Act, and Operating Engineers Regulation 219/01,. You have an excellent understanding of the Regulations, knowledge of boiler room related equipment, industrial refrigeration & chiller equipment, water treatment systems, and compressed air systems. You will assist in work planning, development, supervision, and oversight of all PHCF Utility operations. You are committed to safety and the protection of the environment. You are reliable and a self-starter with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

Education and Qualifications

• Valid 1st Class TSSA Operating Engineer certification.
• A minimum of 5 years industrial experience
• Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership
• Excellent communication skills with a passion for safety and excellence
• Excellent understanding of the Regulations
• Proven leadership and comfortable leading, coaching and supervising others
• Comfortable with computers, automation, controls, and routine software
• Competent in Boiler and Refrigeration operation and management
