What You'll Do:

• Work with the digital infrastructure deployment team to design fiber-optic routes, identify issues, and develop an execution plan.
• Produce maps/drawings, as well as support with setting up map viewers and data collection applications/dashboards (mapping tools may include: 3GIS, QGIS, AGOL/ArcGIS Enterprise/apps).
• Write product or system development code.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions
• Take responsibility for the spatial data review process and the application of quality standards.
• Actively support developing digital tools applied to environmental and engineering services.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, GIS/Geospatial services, Geography, or a related technical field with emphasis on Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Willingness and ability to learn quickly.
• Must be able to learn and then navigate multiple sources of data (Google Maps, CAD, system maps).
• Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering. 
• You should be innovative and creative with strong interpersonal communication skills and be comfortable working independently as well as in an interdisciplinary, multi-cultural team.
