Job Description: LVN in Pleasanton, TX, 78064

Skills: Trach, G-tube

A private duty nurse is responsible for providing one-on-one medical care to patients in their homes. The nurse will work closely with the patient and their family to develop a care plan that meets the patient's needs. The nurse will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing wound care. The nurse will also be responsible for managing patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a care plan for the patient
  • Administer medications as prescribed by the physician
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the physician
  • Provide wound care as needed
  • Manage trach and g-tube care
  • Communicate with the patient and their family to ensure their needs are being met
  • Document all care provided in the patient's medical record

Requirements:

  • Current nursing license in the state of Texas
  • Experience with trach and g-tube care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Availability to work Mon/Fri 8am-6pm
