Food Runner/Busser

As a Food Runner/Busser, you will be an integral part of our restaurant's service team, ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience by delivering food promptly, clearing tables efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Your attention to detail, teamwork skills, and dedication to providing exceptional customer service will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.

Food Running:

• Retrieve food orders from the kitchen and deliver them to the appropriate tables in a timely manner.
• Ensure that each dish is presented accurately and according to the guest's specifications.
• Communicate effectively with servers to coordinate the timing of food delivery and maintain a smooth service flow.

Table Clearing and Resetting:

• Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly after guests finish their meals.
• Wipe down tables and chairs to remove crumbs and spills, ensuring a clean and inviting dining environment.
• Reset tables efficiently with clean tableware, linens, and condiments for the next guests.

Assisting Servers and Kitchen Staff:

• Support servers by refilling water glasses, delivering additional condiments or utensils, and addressing any guest requests promptly.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that food orders are prepared and delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as plating desserts or garnishing dishes, as needed.

Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:

• Sweep and mop floors regularly to keep the dining area clean and free of debris.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace garbage bags as needed.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, including tables, chairs, and high-touch areas, to maintain a hygienic environment.

Customer Service:

• Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating or any initial inquiries.
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries courteously and professionally.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide assistance proactively to enhance their dining experience.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a food runner, busser, or in a similar role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Salary:
The salary for this position will be competitive and based on experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
