Andrew Residence is currently hiring Mental Health Nurses (RNs) for EVENING shifts! New grads – jump start your nursing career at Andrew!

Are you looking to make a positive contribution to the lives of people living with mental illness and have an established, predictable schedule (free from mandatory overtime)? Work at Andrew Residence with our dynamic cross-functional team of mental health professionals including clinical social workers, nurses, and therapeutic recreation specialists.

Current RN Openings:

  • Full-time (1.0 FTE) Evening shift (3:00-11:30p)
  • Full-time (0.9 FTE), Evening shift (3:00-11:30p)
  • Full-time (0.8 FTE), Evening shift (3:00-11:30p)
  • Part-time (0.4 FTE), Evening shift (3:00-11:30p)

Compensation starting at $36.23 with experience credit up to $39.23

Primary RN Responsibilities:

  • Direct resident care, assessment and documentation
  • Administer resident medication
  • Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies
  • Complete transcription of provider orders
  • Coordinate with long-term care pharmacy to ensure timely prescription refills
  • Assist with scheduling and transportation coordination for resident medical appointments
  • Charge Nurse duties as needed upon completion of Charge Nurse training

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Nursing license in good standing
  • BLS Certification
  • Proficiency with computer software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, EHR)
  • Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary team framework
  • Effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with resident populations
  • Mental health nursing experience
  • Knowledge of mental illness and needs of the population
  • Familiarity with psychotropic medications and side effects

COVID-19 considerations: PPE is provided to all employees and we follow the recommendations from MDH and the CDC. CDC guidelines for COVID-19 vaccination recommend that everyone stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines including booster doses. COVID vaccination for Andrew Residence employees is not required, but is highly encouraged.

We offer evidence based, collaborative and trauma-informed treatment services that align with an individual’s personal goals and needs. In addition to our mental health programming, we provide a broad range of physical health care services by our 24 hour nursing team. Andrew is for those who do not need psychiatric hospitalization and are working to achieve success living independently.
