POSITION IDENTIFICATION: Dentist
II. POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt Employee
III. SCOPE OF POSITION: Responsible for the direction of medical care of the center(s),
including supervision of medical staff, including physician extenders, development of protocols for medical care, oversight on the quality of care review process, and the direct provision of medical care to center clients.
IV. POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:
A. Responsible to the Chief Executive Officer
B. Workers supervised: 5 directly.
C. Interrelationships: Work effectively with patients, the Center's Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors, management team, center staff and community medical professionals.
V. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Serve as Dentist of West Cecil Health Center, Inc. and provide leadership to facilitate the achievement of its mission.
B. Be responsible and accountable to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors, keeping them informed of pertinent matters relating to health center operations, the health care industry, and regulatory and legislative developments.
C. Promote the health center and its services to the community and its various constituents.
D. Serve as the primary liaison between the dental community and the center.
E. Perform such other duties and to assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer.
