Noble Biomaterials is Hiring a Manufacturing Production Worker- 1st Shift Near Scranton, PA

Noble Biomaterials, Inc is currently seeking a Production Worker M-F on 1st shift, 7am-3pm.

Pay Rate: $ 17.75 hourly.

SUMMARY: Operate or tend equipment to control chemical changes or reactions in the processing of filament metalizing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete and maintain required paperwork and production records including operational data such as temperatures, pressures, ingredients used, processing times, or test results.
  • Complete required computer data entry daily.
  • Understand specific departmental daily production schedule regarding chemical/Ag percentage recipe requirements and perform task correctly based on requirements.
  • Adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, feed, and flow of liquids, and times of prescribed reactions, according to knowledge of equipment and processes.
  • Monitor gauges, recording instruments, flow meters, or products to ensure that specified conditions are maintained.
  • Measure, weigh, and mix chemical ingredients, according to recipe specifications.
  • Inspect equipment or units to detect leaks and malfunctions, shutting equipment down if necessary and report immediately to cell leads/department manager.
  • Patrol work area to detect leaks and equipment malfunctions, and to monitor operating conditions.
  • Test product samples for specific gravity, chemical characteristics, pH levels, required temperatures, and concentrations or viscosities, or send them to laboratories for testing.
  • Draw samples of products at specified stages so that analyses can be performed.
  • Record operational data such as temperatures, pressures, ingredients used, processing times, or test results.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • No prior experience or training.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Continually required to stand.

  • Continually exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)
  • Continually work near moving mechanical parts
  • Continually work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used. Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as, ear plugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, chemical resistance aprons, full face respirators.
