Floater/Breaker Teacher
Hours are: 9am-6pm
Duties/Responsibilities
· Plan daily activities and lesson plans that correspond with the curriculum and meet all areas of development, with assistant teacher, using a team approach. Lesson plans need to be posted and current. Lesson Plans need to be done 2 weeks in advance then kept in a binder in classroom.
· Use appropriate behavior management and classroom discipline.
· Ensure that children are supervised at all times and that KDHE ratios are met.
· Build and maintain a positive relationship with children and their families.
· Participate in parent teacher conferences and in center events for families.
· Ensure a healthy, safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate environment for children.
· Ensure the cleanliness of classroom, playground, and gym at all times.
· Fill out incidents reports for incidents and notify director.
· Attend all staff meetings and in-service trainings.
· Maintain progress of children with records and quarterly assessments.
· Maintain Confidentiality
· Follow KDHE regulations at all times
· Any other responsibilities as assigned by the director.
· Keep information current on any forms
Qualifications
· Have a basic knowledge of KDHE regulations.
· Prior experience in Early Childhood.
· Must communicate effectively.
· Must possess organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize.
· Must be able to relate well to children, families, and other staff members.
· Must be able to effectively, organize, and implement educational activities.
