Intake Assessment Coordinator (Needs Assessor)

7 : p.m. - 7 : a.m.
We are currently seeking a full-time Intake Assessment Coordinators (Needs Assessor). The Needs Assessor provides telephone and walk-in risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process including insurance pre-certification and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.
Qualifications
Education :
Master’s Degree required in a behavioral health field.
Experience : Prefer prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting
Licensure / Certification :
CPR Certification
Knowledge :
Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
