Velocitor Solutions is Hiring a Project Manager Near Charlotte, NC

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who excels in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each is completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will use best practices and innovative solutions to drive project success, mitigate risks, and resolve roadblocks. This role requires effective client management, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to define project objectives and scope. Proficiency in project planning and cost forecasting is essential, as is the ability to prioritize tasks and optimize team performance. Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to change management and documentation are also key for success. Responsibilities:
  • Face-to-face and virtual client management for software implementations
  • Manage and execute multiple simultaneous projects from initiation to closure
  • Be accountable for project results, along with Project Sponsor
  • Provide comprehensive definition of project objectives and scope via a Project Charter, in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Gather effort estimates, prepare work breakdown structures, and define project schedules in a formal project plan
  • Create project cost forecasts and perform ongoing analysis of projected vs. actual cost
  • Drive project progress, milestones and deliverables through scheduled follow-up meetings and ad-hoc communication with team members
  • Prioritize work to best meet deadlines and proactively optimize teams’ time and effort
  • Creatively resolve roadblocks and risks to the project timeline
  • Develop and conduct presentations and other formal communications as required
  • Drive the Change Management procedures for assigned projects
  • Maintain Project Artifacts and implement versioning procedures throughout team
  • Provide effective communication with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis through a clearly defined communication plan for the project
  • Provide internal training and mentoring on Project Management best practices
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Technical Project Management or the professional equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a demanding project management role in software technology and IT solutions arena
  • Strong understanding of business needs
  • Demonstrated project management abilities
  • Experience facilitating communication across all areas of the organization
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and Project, SharePoint experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple small projects concurrently
  • Detail oriented and able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional attitude
  • Self-starter with good follow-through, able to take direction
Working conditions:
Main office – Blairhill Road
Travel may be required up to 30% of the time.
Although Project Managers generally work regular office hours, after hours and weekend work is required based on project and client needs.
