Position Overview Under the guidance of the Field Sales Manager, the Dock Door Aftermarket Sales Representative's primary focus is to ensure ongoing and profitable retention of existing customers and identify and win new and incremental aftermarket dock & door business from new and existing customers within the assigned territory. This requires establishing a trusting and consultative relationship with the customer, effectively addressing their needs and concerns, and exceeding their expectations to ensure mutual growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities
Effectively sell offerings to include service on dock levelers, dock doors, truck restraints, roll up doors, as well as fire door drop testing.
Evaluate all existing service accounts for customer loyalty and growth potential, and develop relationships and growth plans accordingly.
Identify all equipment service and support prospects in assigned territory and evaluate as to potential resources needed to convert to service customers.
Prioritize prospects in territory and create effective and efficient strategy for successfully winning new and incremental aftermarket dock & door business.
Familiarize all prospects and existing customers with the full range of RSCI service and support products and promote the benefits resulting from their use.
Work closely with sales representatives as new equipment sales opportunities are identified.
Assist in the timely and effective resolution of customer service problems or billing issues that may arise.
Utilize the customer relationship management (CRM) system to maintain customer information, prospecting activity, quoting information, etc. and ensure that it is kept current, accurate and complete at all times.
Attend training classes as necessary to acquire the skills and/or knowledge required to meet customer needs and expectations.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Minimum of 2 years of successful outside sales and or customer service experience preferred
BA/BS in business, engineering, sales & marketing, or related field preferred
Experience in material handling or industrial sales preferred
Must have strong customer service focus
Must be competitive and goal oriented
Must have effective time management and organizational skills
Must have strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Must maintain a clean driving record, as the position involves occasional travel
Must work well independently and in team environment
Must be a driven and self-motivated individual
