Position Summary:

The Operations Intern assists the Operations team in all processes of shipment planning and freight movement. The intern will be exposed to various facets of the supply chain process while also shadowing and performing duties alongside of the Operations Specialist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships internally across teams and externally with customers, carriers, and suppliers
• Familiarity and utilization of TMS system
• Analyze market data accurately and determine costs accordingly
• Field calls and negotiate with carriers
• Professional communication with clientele
• Assist operations team in daily assigned projects
• Provide recommendations for supplier process improvement

• Motivated candidates looking to expand industry knowledge
• Efficiency in Microsoft suite applications
• Ability to manage multiple sources of information and make independent and timely decisions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
