****The Position****

Sofar Ocean builds and deploy *thousands* of low cost global open ocean sensors to remote and harsh environments, and we're growing! We're seeking a logistics and inventory specialist to join our production team in support of both manufacturing and supply chain.

You are an organized, hands-on multitasker who enjoys wearing many hats in a small and fast-moving team. You'll play a core role in managing incoming inventory, assisting with cycle counts, and a variety of other tasks to support the supply chain and manufacturing teams.

****Responsibilities****

* Manage shared storage and workspaces for warehousing and inventory control

* Receive and manage incoming inventory, including: unboxing, visual inspection, quantity verification and record keeping

* Manage receipt of incoming RMA units, clean and disposition them ready for failure analysis and repair

* Help the manufacturing team with assembly or related operations as needed

****Qualifications****

* At least 1 year of direct experience in shipping and receiving

* Experience safely using material handling equipment for loading, unloading and moving goods in and out of the warehouse

* Be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs of weight when required

****Bonus Points****

* 2 years direct experience in a manufacturing environment focused on midsize to capital hardware

* A passion for or connection to the ocean
