National Funding is a stable, fast growing fintech company in UTC area. The Senior Accountants primary responsibility is to oversee and manage various financial aspects of the organization. This position will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the financial records, performing general ledger reconciliations, assisting in the month-end close process, and other duties assigned.What Youll Be Doing:Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.Perform general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards and policies.Assist in the review of AP pay runs.Coordinate and participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries.Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance financial performance.Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.Execute and/or provide the necessary oversight for daily and monthly ACH, Loan and Lease transactions.Collaborates with Director and other organizational team members to support overall department goals and objectives.Responds to inquiries from the CFO, Director, and other organizational team members regarding specific financial results.Support Director with ad hoc financial analysis & reporting as needed, provides insights and recommendations to management.Assist and support budget and forecasting activities.An Ideal Candidate Looks Like This:Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.4-6 year progressive general ledger experienceIn-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standardsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.Prior experience in Great PlainsExcellent organizational and communication skills, with strong attention to detailPhysical Demands:Working in a temperature-controlled office environmentSitting at a desk for long periods of time while viewing multiple computer screen monitorsPotential lifting of boxes around 5-10lbsWhy National Funding?Growing, successful company preparing to almost double in size over the next three years (this is your opportunity to get in on the ground floor)Positive, energetic, passionate, business casual environment with management who committed to your successFantastic benefits package including a 401(k) matchNumerous employee events throughout the year, including our annual traditions such as a Day at the Del Mar Racetrack, Holiday Party, Employee and Family Picnic, sporting events and more.National Funding serves the small business community.
