William James College is Hiring a Full-Time Core Faculty Positions, Clinical Psychology Department: Generalist (Program Development and Evaluation, Leadership of Systems, Consultation, Forensic Psychology) Near Newton, MA

William James College announces multiple openings for full-time Core Faculty positions in the Doctoral Clinical Psychology Department beginning August 2024. Rank is commensurate with experience. The salary for this academic position is highly competitive with a compensation base of $80,000- $90,000. Position may also be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.

Responsibilities

Core faculty members are involved in teaching, advising, and research supervision. Additionally, there is the expectation of committee work and scholarly productivity. Applicants will teach generalist courses in the Clinical Psy.D. program. Qualified applicants for this position should have experience in teaching foundational courses at the graduate level (e.g., Clinical Practice). The successful applicant may also teach specialized courses depending on their relevant expertise. We are especially interested in applicants with interest, expertise, and/or experience in the following areas: program development and evaluation, leadership of systems, consultation, and/or forensic psychology. Applicants will also supervise doctoral projects in their specific area of expertise (e.g., student-led research projects on issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and multiculturalism, program evaluation, forensic populations, etc.). We are particularly interested in applicants whose clinical and/or scholarly work has focused on unserved/underserved groups and historically marginalized populations. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to department-wide initiatives that focus on underserved communities.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology, have completed an APA-accredited internship, have teaching experience, preferably be licensed or license-eligible in Massachusetts, and maintain some involvement in clinical practice or consultation. A demonstrated record of scholarly work defined broadly (e.g., community engagement, educational leadership, innovation, investigation, and research) is preferred. Successful applicants will also have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment and must be willing to contribute to the College's strategic plan of inclusion. The department welcomes applications from individuals who may have had nontraditional career paths, or who may have taken time off for family reasons, or who have achieved excellence in careers outside of academia. Applicants must be able to assume employment in the United States without College Sponsorship.
