Opus Healthcare has an opening for a Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician with an interest in helping those who struggle with substance abuse disorder and want be part of a growing, Incidental Medical Service (IMS) Detox/Residential Facility in Costa Mesa, CA. This is a 12-hour NOC shift from 7PM-7:30AM at a men's house.

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician you will be responsible for:

• Observation, documentation, audit functions, and record keeping of all observed/inventoried/destroyed/prescribed medications.
• Assessment of patients with undiagnosed or diagnosed conditions and assisting in ascertaining clinical medication management with Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director.
• Observation, documentation, and record keeping of client health status.
• Works closely with Nurse Practitioner/Medical Director/ LMFT/ and Case Managers on client health status and presenting conditions.
• Manages complete Medication Observation Record Sheets and system.
• Set all medical appointments for clients including medical, dental, and psychiatric as needed.
• Education and counseling for clients and other organizational health care providers on optimal use of medicines (e.g., proper use, avoidance of over medication)

This Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician works closely with each of the Clients and Medical staff, on an individual basis aiding in the areas of, medication observation, medical appointment scheduling and overall client health in an intensive inpatient health care facility.

Qualifications for the Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician position are:

· Active license and able to show proof

· Clean DMV record and/or in accordance with company insurance requirements.

· Valid Driver’s License

Other bonus skills are:
· Kipu experience a plus but not required
· Preferred 2 years of experience in substance abuse Detox, Pharmacy, Mental Health, or behavioral health services setting.
