Sacramento LGBT Community Center is Hiring a Graphic Design Contractor for Sacramento Pride Marketing Near Sacramento, CA

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Graphic Design Contractor to join our Development team on a temporary basis. The contractor will assist in creating impactful and visually compelling marketing materials for the upcoming Sacramento Pride events. This role requires a creative individual who can work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager and independently, taking initiative on projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Development and Marketing teams to design and create engaging graphic content that aligns with our branding and Sacramento Pride's promotional goals.
  • Develop templates and standardized graphics for a variety of promotional materials, both print and digital.
  • Maintain consistent brand aesthetics across all marketing materials and platforms.
  • Effectively manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Utilize cloud-based storage programs such as Dropbox and Google Drive for efficient file management and collaboration.
  • Incorporate feedback and revisions promptly to refine designs as required.

Contract Terms:

  • Initial contract term of 30 days with a budget allocation of $2,500.
  • Performance review at the end of the initial term to determine potential contract extension based on project needs and contractor performance.
  • Payment structured on a bi-weekly basis, aligned with specific milestones.

Deliverables:

  • Design and produce banners and other graphics specifically tailored for Sacramento Pride.
  • Create consistent and branded graphics for use across all social media platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive branded marketing materials for the Pride march and festival, including flyers, posters, and digital advertisements.
  • Generate engaging and thematic social media content for Pride and other affiliated programs.
  • Create additional digital marketing materials as required for campaign promotions and events.

Required Skills:

  • Proven graphic design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of print and digital projects.
  • Proficiency in Canva is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey concepts and needs to team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with cloud-based storage solutions for effective file sharing and project management.
  • Capacity to take direction and implement feedback effectively.
