Position :Maintenance Technician - Level 1
Basic Function:
Perform repairs and maintenance required for the upkeep of stores and other Company facilities. Work closely with subcontractors, as appropriate, to complete assigned and contracted facility repairs ensuring quality and timely completion of tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Available to support repairs and maintenance of facilities operating 24/7.
• Provides support for all Ice Bunker preventative maintenance, including maintaining the schedule of temperature controls, safety inspections, sample testing, quality control reporting, and implement corrective actions.
• Provides support for preventative maintenance of all Car Wash equipment and sensors to ensure proper function and resolve Level 1 troubleshooting.
• Responsible for working with outside contractors, including but not limited to electricians, plumbers, drywall contractors, painters, HVAC and general construction contractors, when planning facility upgrades and equipment installation.
• Detect and report the need for facility remodels and major equipment and maintenance repairs.
• Propose replacement and/or upgrades to existing machinery, as appropriate.
• Ensure that all repairs and projects are completed to quality expectations in a safe and timely manner.
• Perform basic tasks, including but not limited to basic electrical, plumbing and safety system repairs, painting and filling crevices, replacing ceiling tiles and flooring, cleaning facilities, equipment and general facility maintenance and repairs.
• Respond to leadership, district and store manager maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct performance assessments of company appliances, such as refrigerators, microwaves, stoves, ovens and coffee makers.
• Performs general warehouse duties, including stock management, forklift operation, picking, receiving, safety audits, cleaning and facilities management.
• Other work related dutues, as assigned.

Minimum Experience & Educational Requirements:

• Graduate from high school or equivalent
• Approved apprenticeship or tradeschool graduation preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience performing general maintenance functions in a similar environment
• Forklift operations and certification (preferred)

Essential Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, 4 feet high; and 20 pounds, 5 feet high, without the aid of another person.
• Must be able to sit/stand up for up to a full 8-hour shift, in the performance of the position
• Must complete training and have developed skills for Ice Bunker preventative maintenance, including the ability to take accurate temperature and water quality samples, conduct sample testing, maintain reports and implement corrective actions.
• Must complete training and have developed skills to conduct Level 1 diagnostic testing and implement resolutions of all Car Wash equipment and sensors.
• Must be able to work around various fumes, odors, chemical agents, and solvents.
• Must be able to work in various temperatures and environmental conditions.
• Must be able to maintain balance and climb up to 5 feet on a ladder.
• Must be able to freely access all areas of store facilities inside and out including sales floor, stocking area, storage area, walk-in coolers and freezers, register area, fuel islands, landscaping, and car wash facilities.
• Must be able to operate and use all equipment necessary in the basic function of the position.
• Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions.
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
• Must have the ability to communicate with associates and customers in the English language.
