SUPPLIER QUALITY MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
This role will develop and manage supply quality processes for Avancez globally. This role will work to ensure the supply base meets the on-going production and non-production requirements for continued business at Avancez. This role will monitor directed buy and other suppliers

performance and provide guidance to reduce risk for Android and the customer base.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and manage global processes for supplier quality management including ownership and development of supplier quality manual.
• Drive supplier adherence as required through ABS (Android Business System) based on customer contractual agreements.
• Support suppliers and ensure adherence to applicable PPAP requirements in the supply base and promote "zero defect" mentality.
• Conduct second party audits of suppliers when necessary.
• Conduct inspection and ensuring product quality during all stages of Supplier Qualification & Mass Production
• Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions with supplier including as necessary on-site verification of corrective and preventive actions.
• Visit supplier sites to assist and clarify customer queries and complaints.
• Review supplier processes and work on process improvement (Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, Lean, Six Sigma etc)
• Evaluate supplier performance data, identify and work on improvement opportunities within supply base ensuring that score cars are developed and distributed.
• Support local plant quality manager and relevant team members to monitor, report supplier quality and performance at our sites.
• Supervise and develop headquarter supplier quality engineers.
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Supplier Quality Certification preferred (CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, CQA, etc.).
• Years of Experience: 3 years of Quality Engineering and at least 2 years in an automotive manufacturing/assembly environment.

TRAVEL:
Travel Required: Yes (national and international)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Strong working knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans and MSA, ISO9001 or IATF 16949:2016 Quality Systems.
• Understanding of APQP process.
• Understanding of manufacturing engineering with respect to one or more of these areas: automated assembly equipment, product assemblies, tooling, fixtures, and gauges.
• Demonstrated ability in using problem solving methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation, and the ability to influence all levels of staff.
• Sense of urgency and an overall customer satisfaction focus.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office suite of software, especially with the use of Excel.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
