We are looking for a Medical Assistant that can be a part of our team! The primary role of the medical assistant will be to assist the provider in clinic. This special person will also be cross-trained in front office duties as well.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to our Granbury clinic when needed on Friday's.
- Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
- Communicates and documents any status updates and changes regarding patient and treatment plan.
- Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
- Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
- Ensures exam rooms are prepared and stocked with adequate medical supplies as well as cleaning rooms appropriately between patients.
- Schedule follow up / procedure appointments for patients.
- Greet and log in patients arriving at office.
- Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones
- Takes telephone messages and provides feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
- Provides administrative support and performs routine clerical such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
- Maintains and responds to e-mails, telephone calls and inquiries.
- Assists team and uses downtime efficiently.
