*Job Summary:*
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control measures within our healthcare facility.
*Responsibilities:*
* Conduct regular infection control risk assessments
* Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures
* Educate staff on infection control protocols and best practices
* Monitor compliance with infection control standards
* Investigate and report any outbreaks of infectious diseases
* Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper aseptic techniques are followed
* Review patient documentation for accuracy in infection-related data
* Monitor and track patient outcomes related to infections
* Stay current on OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements related to infection prevention
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing (RN)
* Previous experience in acute care setting preferred
* Knowledge of aseptic techniques and patient monitoring
* Familiarity with physiology and disease processes
* Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations
* Experience in documentation review and analysis
* Certified in Infection Control (CIC)
* Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and database management
*Even better if you have the following:*
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in infection prevention and control
* Knowledge of assisted living facilities is a plus
