Nashville Wire Products, an established local manufacturer of steel wire products for the material handling industry is accepting resumes for Shipping Clerk at our Northwest Nashville, Tennessee location. This position ensures our products are provided to customers in an efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities include:

• preparing bills of lading via computer system
• performing inventory control functions such as cycle counting
• verifying pick lists for accuracy
• loading/unloading trucks with sit down forklift
• pulling and staging orders
• rf scanning

Selected candidates must have recent steady work history with prior experience in all functions of shipping/receiving operations. Prior experience in fast paced manufacturing shipping environment with limited supervision and a high degree of accuracy is required. Qualified candidates must be highly motivated with exceptional computer & communication skills. Experience with Microsoft applications including Excel, Teams, Outlook and in using an Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) such as SAGE is required. This position will pull orders and load trucks so applicants must have recent and strong sit down forklift operating experience in fast paced manufacturing environment.

Selected candidate must pass company provided drug screen, criminal background check, and tape measure skills test. During a 10 hour shift this position regularly performs heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds), is required to stand on concrete floors, and may be subject to extreme temperatures as manufacturing areas are not air conditioned.

Shipping Coordinator pay progression: $21.50 start, $22.50 at 90 days, $23.50 at 1 year. Base schedule for this position is 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday – Friday, with additional overtime as required with little to no prior notice to meet customer demands. This position is typically scheduled 50 hours per week.
