Responsible for answering all incoming telephone calls and satisfying customer inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner. Serve as the initial service contact in many cases. Manage the customer data base and maintain appointment logs.
Responsibilities:
· Answer all incoming service department telephone calls according to company policies with good telephone etiquette.
· Determine if the inquiry can be handled by the BDC agent or if the call needs to be escalated to management.
· Direct telephone calls to the appropriate parties as necessary. NOTE: Do not direct a call to anyone if they are occupied with a customer or engaged on the telephone.
· Must meet minimum requirements given by the dealership for call made and appointments set. Must maintain the appointment log and ensure that there is a follow up process in place.
· Verify customer information and document on scheduling software.
· Take written notes or follow up emails for occupied personnel and notify them as soon as possible regarding pending messages.
· Assist the service sales staff in contacting customers whose vehicles have been completed.
· Perform various clerical jobs as assigned by the service manager.
· Ensure a thorough knowledge and understanding of products, recalls, warranty and policies.
· Maintain a high standard of personal grooming, hygiene and dress. Follows the company dress code.
· Maintains a clean and neat work area.
Requirements:

· Reports on time to work and follows schedule that is given. Calls supervisor if he/she cannot be at work on time.
· Keeps current with annual HR training along with any other training that might be required for this position.
· Follows all company policies and procedures. Notifies supervisor of any illegal activity.
