Role Description for Production Operator

Hourly Rate: $19.25 - $19.75 additional dollar per hour for shift differential.

Our Cloverdale, Indiana Calcium Carbonate fine grind plant is looking to place a full-time production operator on our staff. This production operator should expect to perform some packaging and warehousing duties, housekeeping tasks and will be cross trained on other vital processing roles over time. The production operator will work three 12- hour shifts, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6AM - 6PM. There will be an additional dollar per hour for the shift differential. Production Operators who are committed, dedicated and great workers will receive increased pay and additional job opportunities. We crush limestone aggregate into various smaller particle sizes for animal feed and industrial type uses. Main distribution is through bulk trucks and package 50-pound bags.

Role Responsibilities for Production Operator

20% Warehousing Duties: packaging calcium into 50-pound bags, operation of semi-automatic palletizing equipment, warehousing duties such as the loading of van trailers and bulk trailers with products.

60% Housekeeping Duties: material handling in removing spillage of calcium and calcium dust from the facility, task training on mobile type equipment such as forklift, walk-behind loader and skid loader.

20% Team support: small preventive maintenance tasks such as equipment checks and greasing of moving equipment parts, paperwork with documentation, fill in for other aspects of the plant for which you are cross trained.

Qualifications

Ø Work Experience: forklift and or loader experience a plus.

Ø Education: High School Diploma or GED

Ø Self-starter and dependable in being to work on time

Ø Good work ethics

Ø Must possess a safety working attitude

Ø Flexible to overtime as needed including weekends

Ø Perform tasks in a timely manner

Ø Good basic math and reading skills

Ø Physically able to lift 50-pound bags

Ø Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and physical screening
