Responsibilities:
Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. Position Summary
Under the direction of the Business Office Director, the Business Office Supervisor will assist other Patient Account Representatives and Financial Counselors with account resolution and provide departmental oversight.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • In the absence of BOD, when requested, performs the duties of BOD including but not limited to Daily Census reconciliation and distribution, Daily Operations Meeting, check depository, cash reconciliation, Management Meting and day end report reviews. Responds to CFO and CEO concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Review and submit time sheets in the absence of the BOD.
  • Coaches staff, when appropriate, to maintain or improve performance. Reports ongoing issues to the BOD.
  • Accurately bills accounts on a daily basis utilizing the MS4 billing editors and Emdeon electronic claims submission clearing house.
  • Reviews credit balances and prepares an accurate and documented Refund Request for review by the Business Office Director.
  • When notified of a denial through collection efforts, notifies the UR Director and BOD via email to add the account to the Midas denial log.
  • Assists with billing and collection work lists for other patient representatives when they are absent.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required. Some college coursework in a finance related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with admission processes, collections procedures, working knowledge of managed care; interpretation of insurance coverage plans, co-payments, deductible schedules and payment plans required. Prior suprevisory experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computers and business software programs (Excel) preferred. Ability to problem solve.
  • Excellent communication skills
