Childcare Teacher (1 Years’ Experience, Part-Time)

Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of young children?

Just Us Kids Early Learning Center is looking for a patient and compassionate childcare teacher who has experience working with children ages 6 weeks old to 12 years of age. The Just Us Kid’s teacher will help lead developmentally appropriate activities that encourage healthy physical, social, and emotional development for students.

Responsibilities:

• Greet families and children during pick up
• Maintain a classroom environment of safety and respect
• Perform daily cleaning routines to keep facilities sanitary and safe
• Close the classroom to prepare for the next day
• Keep parents and families updated on their students’ daily activities and progress in the afternoon

Requirements:

• Must love working with young children along with providing a positive, safe, and educational environment
• Hours needed are Monday-Friday 3pm-6pm (more hours can be available)
• At least 18 years of age (must be 21 years old to work with infants and toddlers) (If an applicant is 18 years of age and currently enrolled in high school, transcripts count as proof of education).
• Friendly and reliable
• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED
• Pass a criminal history check, physical, drug screen, and TB test before starting at Just Us Kids
• CDA, Early Childhood Education Degree or equivalent preferred, not required
• Must obtain 24 training hours of professional development trainings per years (on-site and online)
• 1 years of experience working in Child Development or a related field
• Ability to work creatively and flexibly
• Assist in closing down classrooms and the center to prepare for the next day.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 24 completed ECE units
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Experience working in a play-based environment
• Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese
