Location: Department of Education, Washington, DC location Lyndon Baines Johnson building (LBJ) Duties:
Administer applicants entrance documentation into e-QIP for new, upgraded, or periodic reinvestigations to include but not limited to fingerprints, legal notices, and credit checks.
Review security questionnaires and supplemental documents for completeness and accuracy, using various security systems such as e-QIP, NP2 portal, and CVS/PIPS.Task
Process and respond to DCSA (Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency) notices.
Attend meetings as required with security staff to coordinate activities with function-specific personnel.
Provide weekly reporting metrics as determined by case assignments.
Maintain confidentiality of all work processes and products.
Update internal spreadsheet, document all cases in Dept systems.
Prepare corrective feedback to applicants for resolution. Requirements Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a personnel security or background investigations field.
Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
Ability to exercise independent technical and professional judgment in the area working.
Commitment to quality; continuous improvement oriented.
If necessary, be able to multi-task, yet be attentive to details.
Be a team player and be willing to take ownership for the quality of services and work products.
