Civil Clothing Inc. in Torrance is seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Product Developer. This position will offer opportunity to support design, sales, and production team to ensure the product goals are met. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and able to work in fast paced environment with a positive attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Account Managers and Design to support the supply chain across all categories in soft goods for Private Label business
• Create technical packages with focus on cost, function, and quality for speed market
• Daily communications with offshore vendors for sourcing, cost negotiating, tracking lab dips, strike off, and samples (protos, fit, PP, and TOP samples)
• Maintain internal WIP and conduct weekly status meetings
• Establish and monitor TNA calendar along with troubleshooting issues to maintain deliverables
• Maintain samples and raw material library.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must possess strong knowledge of garment life cycle in wholesale manufacturing
• Knowledge in garment specs, bill of materials, and garment process (silkscreen, fabric printing, washes, etc.).
• Ability to multitask, comfortable working in a fast pace environment, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet quick deliveries.
• Excellent communication and attention to details with exceptional organizational skills.
• Work well with cross functional team members to facilitate daily tasks.

Education and Experience:

• BS degree preferred or min. 3-4 years’ experience in apparel product development and/or preproduction related experience.
• Intermediate computer drawing skills for technical and construction detail sketches & related art using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Background in imports, sourcing, and cost negotiations are plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.24 - $23.00 per hour
