We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drilling Superintendent to join our team. The Drilling Superintendent will contribute to the success and profitability of projects and will be responsible for the planning, training, and execution of all aspects of the water well drilling program including personnel, equipment, service, technical, and financial performance of the rigs. This position supervises up to three rigs and directly supervises up to three drillers who oversee a team of drill helpers. This position frequently interacts with peers, subordinates, executives, and vendors.

Essential Duties:

Project Management:

• Lead multiple water well projects effectively, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and enforce safety policies rigorously.
• Oversee operational planning, execution, and closeout phases of deep-water exploration wells.

Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of contracts, specifications, and drawings.
• Identify and address drilling issues, design deficiencies, and code violations promptly.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to their scope of work and maintain project documentation accurately.

Operational Management:

• Ensure safety and efficiency of drilling operations, minimizing downtime and costs.
• Conduct rig inspections, manage maintenance, and coordinate rig moves efficiently.
• Train and support drillers and helpers to perform tasks safely and proficiently.

Miscellaneous:

• Collaborate with project management to handle estimates, contracts, and change orders.
• Monitor project scope changes, communicate with clients, and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform any additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum seven (7) years of drilling rig experience required.
• Experience working with top-drive, rotary, table drive, hammers, and tricones preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years operating water well drilling experience preferred.
• General understanding of installation, service, and operation of water well pumps preferred.
• Knowledge of Hawaii geology is a plus.
• IADC Certificate preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suites - Word, Excel and MAC Suites required.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, or Adobe Acrobat preferred.
• Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
• Must have a clean driving record.

The compensation will vary based on experience ranging between $45-$50 per hour.
