Description

1. Responsible for setup, management, and operation of Webco’s servers, Linux Servers and IT infrastructure.
2. Monitors servers, storage, infrastructure, and backups for errors and correcting, reviewing performance, and assisting desktop support technicians with resolving operational problems.
3. Manages servers, applications, and infrastructure through their lifecycles and other projects as assigned by IT management.
4. Researches and corrects problems detected by systems monitoring applications.
5. Update active directory users, computers, and group policy as needed.
6. Manage DNS, DHCP, WINS, and other infrastructure related software.
7. Manages server virtualization software and applies updates and new releases as required.
8. Creates, manages, patches, updates, and decommissions Windows servers.
9. Load, manage, patch, and update server application software on servers as needed.
10. Load, manage, patch, and update client application software as needed using manual and automated methods.
11. Monitor, patch, update, and manage backup software, hardware, jobs, and tapes.
12. Assist desktop support with resolving trouble tickets.
13. Assist Network Admin with network monitoring and updates.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum of 2 years of system administration in a Microsoft Windows based environment.
3. Experience working in a Hybrid Exchange environment.
4. Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager preferred.
5. Experience with VMWare preferred.
6. Cisco Networking experience preferred.
7. Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres and Mongo database experience desired.
8. Linux Experience Preferred.
9. Good verbal and written communication skills.
10. Proficient at using a Microsoft Windows based computer.
11. Able to effectively create and maintain documents in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
12. Typing or entering information at an equivalent of 40 words per minute.
