SUMMARY

At BioIVT, the primary purpose of the Project Manager role is to lead, oversee and ensure the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects. The Project Manager must do this within scope, to a certain quality, and within time and cost constraints. These factors may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management to deliver business value.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate processes for accomplishing projects.
• Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.
• Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff to outline a work plan.
• Establish a work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations or phases.
• Implement a project communication plan.
• Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans.
• Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of information, while consistently providing content and “look and feel” across the organization.
• Ensure that project goals are in line with business objectives.
• Ensure that project goals are achieved.
• Assign duties and responsibilities to project personnel and define the scope of their authority.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of project personnel to ensure that projects progress on schedule and within budget.
• Review the status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
• Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
• Continuously benchmark project management performance to identify potential improvements and increase capability in project and portfolio management.

TRAVEL

This position may require up to 40% travel over the course of a year.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong business acumen
• Change agent for business agility and continuous improvement
• Skilled in developing professional relationships with leadership and peers
• Skilled in developing detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project or other similar software
• Compelling executive presentation skills and general communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes and create improved workflows
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with ERPs and Laboratory Information Systems a plus

EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business, engineering, or related field
• Life science/healthcare experience strongly preferred, highly regulated industries also acceptable
• 5 years of professional experience, preferably in life science/healthcare
• 5 years of professional experience in project management
• 3 years of direct experience managing merger integrations
• PMP or similar project management certification preferred
