Position Summary: The Communications Coordinator is an administrative role that supports the Communications department at Belmont Charter Network in executing and monitoring communications strategies. This role will take an active part in developing communications content in a variety of medium, analyzing and supporting social media strategies and function as the first line of hospitality for the Central Office of Belmont Charter Network. This is a 12 month position on the Central Team that is supervised by the Chief of Staff.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support with writing a variety of different content for communications and marketing efforts, including newsletters, website copy, brochures, social content, and/or press releases
  • Assist the communications team in developing and implementing a communications strategy to further BCN priorities and initiatives, including but not limited to digital marketing to support staff and student recruitment, community relations, and internal communications (letters, newsletters, etc).
  • Monitor analytics and create reports detailing communications campaigns' and strategies' successes and failures.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and make recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies and practices.
  • Function as the first line of hospitality for Belmont Charter Network’s Central office, including but not limited to:
  • Greeting guests upon arrival at the office
  • Directing visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
  • Support with room reservations for Central Team members
  • Manage material inventory for Central Office
  • Plan, support, and execute internal and external events to support the organization’s brand identity, including ordering food and coordinating volunteers, support staff, and vendors.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Serves as point of contact for ordering merchandise for the organization
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Analytical and ability to think critically
  • Superior time management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Google Calendar/email and Calendly experience a plus
  • Supports workplace diversity
  • Knowledge of email marketing software such as Hootsuite or a similar program
  • Professionalism, organization, and project management skills

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in communications or related field; OR two (2) years of directly related experience
  • 2 years experience in a communications or marketing role
  • School-based experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
