THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Product Designer at WorkBoard you will work through all phases of the design process to deliver inspired industry-leading experiences to our enterprise users. You'll help transform complex tasks into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for users ranging from Fortune 500 CEOs to thousands of individual contributors.

You will be part of a broader vibrant and passionate product & engineering team and will collaborate with our end-users and cross-functional team members in customer success & services as we build solutions and deliver delightful experiences for our customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Approach problems with curiosity, humility, and excitement to learn and grow.
  • Work through all phases of the design process.
  • Partner with the product and engineering teams to explore, define, and deliver market-leading solutions to complex problems.
  • Work closely with enterprise users and stakeholders to truly understand user pain points in order to advocate on their behalf.
  • Hands-on rapid prototyping and iteration. Driven by product requirements and regular engagements with stakeholders and enterprise users.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities for design-centered changes and improvements to existing functionality.

COMING IN

  • 4 years as UI/UX designer, product designer, interaction or experience designer, or similar experience on apps used by business professionals
  • Strong skills in user experience and visual design best practices for web and mobile
  • A portfolio showcasing stellar customer-centered design solutions
  • Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Balsamiq, etc.
  • Curiosity to always get to the "why" before jumping into the "what"
  • Bonus: B2B SaaS experience and agile development expertise

YOU'LL BE SUPER SKILLED AND EFFECTIVE AT

  • Working through product problems from definition and opportunity to build the right solutions that delight our customers
  • Rapid prototyping and low fidelity iterations that help drive discovery, fact-finding and early feedback
  • Approaching internal SMEs and external customers for input and feedback; we are a small, lean team who know when to be scrappy and hands-on.
  • Ideating and collaborating with our team on the best solutions and paths to test ideas and drive product success!

WITHIN ONE MONTH YOU'LL

  • Attend a new-hire immersion training to build a deep understanding of our buyers, their pain points, our solution offering, and learn what it means to build an elegant Enterprise Strategy Execution platform.
  • Learn the personas we cater to and our product strategy for their success.
  • Become a daily user of WorkBoard yourself on the path to superuser comfort
  • Learn our Brand guidelines, and read key user and market messaging and framework
  • Hit the ground running and contribute to the design and solutions for planned features

WITHIN THREE MONTHS YOU'LL

  • Have a deep understanding of the problem space and how our various offerings are interconnected to provide a comprehensive business solution.
  • Research and drive design for your first set of features in the full development cycle with product management and engineering teams
  • Ramp up your WorkBoard product knowledge by building expertise and becoming a product Guru for our primary use cases of the product areas you'll be driving

WITHIN SIX MONTHS YOU'LL

  • Create superb product experiences and work closely with product management and engineering teams to deliver them to customers
  • Maintain knowledge of the WorkBoard product offering and contribute to our design system
  • Conduct user feedback sessions & evaluate requirements and prototypes with key customers and stakeholders

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU'LL:

  • Meet regularly with key users, get feedback, and test your designs and solutions
  • Continue driving the design of major release cycles for brand-new experiences as well as existing experience enhancement.
