Server, Bartender, and Host Positions Available

Position Overview:

As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to provide top-notch customer service while ensuring efficient and seamless operations in our restaurant. You will have the opportunity to interact with diverse customers, showcase your knowledge of our menu and beer offerings, and contribute to the warm and inviting atmosphere that Kalona Brewing Company is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a courteous and welcoming manner.
• Provide extensive knowledge of our food and beverage offerings, including an understanding of beer styles and pairings.
• Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar promptly.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while adhering to presentation standards.
• Mix and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and creativity.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and assist customers with inquiries.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tables, counters, and service stations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth flow of service and address any customer concerns.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, ensuring the restaurant is set up for success each day.
• Uphold health and safety standards by following proper sanitation procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating needs and ensuring guest satisfaction.

• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in orders and transactions.
• Friendly, kind, and approachable demeanor with outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure.
• Exceptional multitasking abilities to handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
• Passion for and knowledge of beer and beer styles is a must.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Expected hours: 8 – 35 per week
