Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Operations / Manufacturing Manager to lead our facility. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining strict quality control standards. This is a critical leadership role that requires manufacturing expertise, and excellent people skills. The Operations / Manufacturing Manager develops leaders to achieve consistent production of high-quality products and delivers financial profitability for the company.

Core Responsibilities:

  • As the Operations / Production Manager at our dry goods plant, you'll be responsible for orchestrating all aspects of the production process to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products.
  • Enforce and promote a safety-first culture among production staff.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance department to conduct internal audits, inspections, and product testing.
  • Address production challenges promptly and implement effective solutions.
  • Foster opens communication channels to address inter-departmental challenges.
  • Leverage data-driven insights optimization initiatives to increase operational efficiency, reduce yield, and improve overall plant performance.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, and other stakeholders, proactively addressing any production-related issues or concerns.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team for facility upgrades, expansions, or modifications to meet production requirements and SQF regulations.
  • Support the organization through the new product introduction phase to ensure customer product development and production delivery objectives are met.
  • Strict adherence to budgets and resource plans, and monitoring performance, to achieve product delivery and financial requirements.
  • Coordinate and assist with corporate initiatives and participate in teams to drive best practices across Honeyville, Inc.
  • Manage direct reports and their activities. This includes overall performance management; training and development; analyzing and resolving work problems; and discipline. Lead team to achieve goals; promote and demonstrate effective communication and positive culture, etc.
  • Champion the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values driving optimal results.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years combined related work experience in food production or manufacturing environment including a minimum of 5 years (s) of successful leadership experience.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and mentor employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Sound financial understanding with the ability to formulate strategies based on financial data.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with a wide variety of audiences with differing perspectives and frames of reference.
  • Computer literate, including knowledge of and competence in manufacturing-related systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) a must.
  • ·Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, and Transactional Lean to drive improvement.
  • Strong hands-on user of MRP/ERP software systems

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/Logistics, Business Management, Engineering, Communications, or other related field or relevant experience is preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Frequently required sit and operate a computer, periodically required to stand; walk; use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; and to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color, and depth vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud. Exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Tree Nuts, Milk/Dairy, eggs etc.
