Magnolia Place is Hiring a Memory Care Social Coordinator Near Bakersfield, CA

Performance Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates resident/family needs on an on-going basis.
  • Works with Activities Department to ensure that activities reach all levels of care in the program.
  • Input on all activity calendars.
  • Input on resident menus.
  • Give tours of the building and campus and actively participate in our marketing action plan.
  • Be available to families of residents at all times to address any concerns immediately.
  • Evaluates levels of care for all residents and updates them as necessary.
  • Resident/family billing issues.
  • Reports to the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing for any deaths, unusual incidents, etc.
  • Hands on resident care and training of all kinds.
  • Set up all new resident medical charts, arrange for delivery of medications, equipment, etc. upon or before admission.
  • Instruct all staff members in the practice of redirecting residents to change problem behaviors.
  • Auditing of all head count and B & B Books daily on each court.
  • Helping families in times of illness and death.
  • Working with and monitoring Hospice while they are working with our residents.
  • Working with and monitoring Emergency Personnel while they are working with our residents.
  • Assisting the Director of Resident Services in any way required.
  • Monitoring all outside vendors and visitors who enter the building.

Physical Demands

  • Must have good physical and mental health and be willing to be active during entire work shift.

Special Demands

Must possess qualities of leadership, tact, and adaptability to change. Must be neat in appearance, pleasant personality, be congenial to fellow employees, residents, families and the public in general. Must be capable of using own judgement and initiative in daily duties.

Qualifications and Education

  • Previous geriatric Alzheimer’s/Dementia experience.
  • Requiring problem solving skills and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living.
