SQL Database Administrator

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers (GoodwillSR) – Columbus, GA

The Business Analytics team is currently seeking a seasoned technical professional who will develop best practices and repeatable procedures for deploying databases and day-to-day operational activities. This person will lead a team of BI Developers and regularly perform assessments and risk analysis and identify, research, and resolve complex technical problems. This person will lead, train, and mentor Business Analytics team members and serve as a technical lead to the organization. 

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s SQL Database Administrator responsibilities:

• Install and configure databases and related software on a server and database optimization
• Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as index rebuilding, query optimization, and database tuning
• Create SSIS packages to clean data into a user-friendly format and integrate data from multiple systems
• Ensure efficiency, integrity and positive impact of all departmental designs and implementations through a solid understanding of organizational workflows and industry standards
• Build and maintain dashboards using industry standard tools
• Validate and study data to find insights into our business and humanitarian operations
• Analyze data to attain a greater understanding that can be used to set goals, metrics, and KPIs 
• Works with other individuals both within and outside of the organization to gather details on requirements and prioritize analysis efforts
• Partner closely with the Mission Services Department to ensure that case management software is optimized
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Director of Business Analytics

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; (Preferred)
• Five years’ experience in Business Analytics/Intelligence or related field
• Knowledge of the following: SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power Query, HTML, DAX, MDX, Visual Studio, Power BI, SharePoint, Caseworthy, MS Office, Business Objects, Cognos, Python, SOAP/Rest API
