Description
City Fitness is looking for a fitness professional to effectively manage the growth and performance of our Group Exercise program. Responsibilities include maximizing the group fitness attendance, member retention, club profitability, and new member integration. Successful candidates will be able to provide statistically-driven insight, be technological savvy, and demonstrate sound judgment.
This is an elevated leadership position that supervises managers and oversees the general operation of the entire Group Exercise program across all City Fitness locations. This is a hands-on role that operates in a fast-paced, cross-functional working environment. This position requires advanced critical thinking, exemplary tasks execution, and the confidence to lead staff, peers and senior leadership. This individual must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, perform under pressure, and handle confidential matters with discretion.

Supervisory Responsibility
The Director serves as the immediate supervisor to all managers within the program and as an indirect supervisor to the reporting employees. As a department leader, this role is responsible for executing departmental processes, managing profitability, and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the department.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Directors must be computer literate and comfortable working with a multitude of computer software and information systems. This role also works with various types of fitness equipment, and frequently in an environment where noise levels vary from quiet while in the office, and loud when in the facility or studio.

Travel
This position requires a medium to moderate amount of travel. This individual will be expected but not limited to travel between all locations as job duties demand. Although travel is primarily local during the business day, some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position requires a valid nationally recognized Certification(s) for the duration of employment. Additional screening is also required as a condition of hire.
