Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time, Contract Closeout Specialist to support a federal government client in closing contracts. Place of performance is at a client site in Herndon, VA.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Complete actions required as identified on Contract Closeout checklists.
• Provide effective communication and superior customer service to stakeholders.
• Verify contract closeout files contain supporting financial documentation.
• Participate in coordination and planning meetings.
• Research any discrepancies found in review of invoices.
• Provide recommendations to resolve any unusual differences, recurring questionable transactions, or unallowable charges.
• Prepare physical files for archival and scanning by removing all fasteners, copying uninformed documents, removing duplicate copies, organizing documents and boxing.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associates degree.
• At least 3 year of contract closeout experience with the federal government.
• Excellent skill with MS Excel and MS Word.
• Strong aptitude to add and retrieve data in information management systems.
• Strong work ethic: punctual, reliable, and supports team goals.
• Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
• Ability to shift between projects while awaiting inputs from other projects.
