Job Title: Flooring Technician - Stripping and Waxing

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to perform stripping and waxing services for various types of flooring surfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform stripping and waxing services on various types of flooring surfaces, including but not limited to vinyl, tile, hardwood, and laminate.
• Prepare surfaces for treatment by removing furniture, fixtures, and other obstacles as necessary.
• Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to strip old wax, dirt, and debris from floors effectively.
• Apply wax and other finishing agents evenly and according to manufacturer specifications.
• Buff and polish floors to achieve a clean and glossy finish.
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain and clean equipment after each use to ensure proper functionality and longevity.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Communicate with clients and team members to coordinate scheduling and address any concerns or special requests.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Flooring Technician or similar role, with specific expertise in stripping and waxing.
2. Familiarity with various types of flooring materials and their specific maintenance requirements.
3. Proficiency in operating floor stripping, waxing, and polishing equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and wax applicators.
4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
5. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and materials as needed.
7. Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or training in floor care and maintenance techniques.
• Knowledge of environmentally friendly cleaning products and practices.
• Previous experience working in commercial or industrial settings.
