Planned Parenthood Arizona is Hiring a Facilities Technician Near Phoenix, AZ
SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting the maintenance, appearance, and operations of the organization’s equipment and facilities. Works closely with Center Managers and responds quickly and effectively to staff and facility needs.
The employee whose signature appears above agrees to be accountable for the ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES listed below; other duties may be assigned:
GENERAL PRIORITIES
Performs highly diversified duties to coordinate repairs of 2 administrative offices and 7 health centers and facilitate building maintenance. These include, but are not limited to:
o Plumbing
o Electrical
o Dry wall repair
o Painting
o HVACCarpentry
o General maintenance
Note: Drywall repair includes repairing ballistic rated drywall.
Maintains a list of vendors for maintenance and repairs for health centers and the regional headquarters building.
Reviews monthly facility inspection reports on all health centers and schedules maintenance as indicated. This includes implementing guidelines for all centers and the regional headquarters buildings for cleanliness, neatness, safety and repairs and maintenance. Communicates problem areas and safety hazards to appropriate staff and schedules repairs as indicated.
Utilizes the Facilities Help Desk for all service requests.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of Planned Parenthood properties.
Coordinates vendor relationships with housekeeping services, locksmith, landscaping services to ensure that problem areas are handled promptly. Schedules exterminating services on a regular basis.
Monitors and arranges fire inspections with local municipalities Coordinates with property management companies on leased properties
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Provides transportation for supplies and equipment needed at Health Centers
Assist IT with technology issues as required.
Assists in security operations matters in the absence of the Director of Security & facilities Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma and five years of experience pertaining to general facilities maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory maintenance experience preferred.
High level of proficiency with word processing and data base management competency essential (Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Publisher).
Must be willing to travel between state-wide locations and facilities in order to accomplish job functions.
The ability to initiate and follow through on new projects is required. Must be able to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government law.
Ability to work well with people, meet deadlines and work under pressure. Ability to make decisions and work independently is required. Strong organizational and effective communication skills and attention to detail are essential qualities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, financial reports, legal documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Capacity to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and vendors.
