Description

Established in 1887, the Turlock Irrigation District (TID) was the first irrigation district in the state. Today it is one of only four in California that also provides electric retail energy directly to homes, farms and businesses.
TID delivers irrigation water to approximately 150,000 acres of farmland. In addition, TID owns and operates an integrated and diverse electric generation, transmission and distribution system that serves a population of approximately 240,000 within a 662 square-mile area.
Examples of Duties

Perform a variety of communication and public relations tasks, such as, but not limited to, developing social media content, creating and updating District graphic design elements, message creation, developing and implementing project schedules, photography, graphic design, video production, scanning and archiving files, coordinating events, interaction with customers and the general public, and correspondence with partner organizations and agencies. This position will report to TID's 333 E. Canal office in Turlock, CA.
Specific tasks:

• Design and update various print materials, including fact sheets, reports, and newsletters.
• Weekly messaging - create social media graphics & messaging
• Content Creation, posting and monitoring of Team TID Facebook Group Page
• Social media graphics and story design; Instagram "Highlights" buildout
• Community Event coordination - preparation, coordination & staffing of TID booth for Farmers Markets, Third Thursdays, annual events
• Swim for Free Program - coordinate TID participation, deliver & retrieve banners
• Department project support - HR Seity program, TID Connected, Strategic Plan updates
• Building out brand assets in Canva
• Capture, edit & produce photography and video content.
• TID Podcast - Assist in producing and transcribing episodes; designing cover artwork.
• Review, sort, and archive photos and videos.

Desired Skills: Functional knowledge in some combination of the following: Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier Pro, and Canva.
