A typical day in the life of a Medical Assistant/Registration, includes: Collaborating with other staff members toensure patient careObtaining accurate demographic and insurance information then verifying insurance coverage for all patientsEnsuring all registration fields are filled in completely and scanned into the patient's chartPreparing patients for examination, IV/Blood draw, ECG, office diagnostic testing Taking and recording vital signs and medical histories Perform phlebotomy and laboratory paperworkAssist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicalsX-ray preparation, assisting with splinting/wound care and assisting in administering medications as directed by physician. Proven interpersonal skills to effectively and courteously deal with patients, families, clients, coworkers, clinical staff and physicians.Education & Experience:High school diploma or equivalentCurrent AREMT certification1-5 years of Medical Assistant or EMT ExperiencePrevious Customer Service Experience No travel is expected for this position however, depending on the location, this position may work at more than one center.ClearChoiceMD provides an opportunity to work with other like-minded professionals where you can develop and build your skills.
