Inventory and Maintenance Specialist
Job Summary
The Inventory and Maintenance Specialist will also maintain and repair construction tools and equipment and be required to drive company vehicles when needed.
This position must maintain a pleasant work environment, contributing to high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety.
1. Responsibilities
A. Safety
- Promote and engage in a safe work environment
- Report safety incidents
- Display good housekeeping in work areas
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and Onex safety policies
B. Planning and Scheduling
- Schedule Onex trucks and logistics planning
- Maintain efficiency in organization of inventory
- Maintain cleanliness and maintenance schedule of equipment and tools
C. Receiving
- Sign for and receive packages and deliveries
- Compare parts to packing list and precast order (PO)
- Follow up with shipper if error
- Receive parts in accounting system
D. Quality
- Accurate and reliable receipt of parts
- Identify ways to improve efficiency in inventory management
E. Client Interface
- Communicate effectively with the supplier / vendor
- Communicate effectively with truck drivers; notify supervisor of faulty delivery before driver leaves the premises
F. Administration
- Complete required reports and turn them in on time
- Ensures proper documentation is complete for refused deliveries, communicate delivery refusal to salesman, sales support, and purchasing
