Location: Positions available throughout Phoenix Metro Area

Position: General Manager

Streets of New York restaurants began in Arizona in 1976 and is still family owned and operated, with 15 locations. We offer East Coast style pizza, pasta, subs and more, with a commitment to the highest quality ingredients and preparations for a superior yet casual dining experience. Each restaurant offers dine in service, as well as full menu take-out and delivery for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.

Hours: Full time of 40 hours per week, Friday and Saturday required. Must be available during busiest days/hours, including evenings. Flexible scheduling as long as minimum hours and requirements are met. Times will vary between 9am-10pm.

Salary: $60,000 annually, additional salary depends on experience.

Benefits: Employer paid Medical, with optional employee paid Dental, Vision and Life Insurance available to full-time employees. Sick pay available to all employees. Vacation Pay available after 1 year of employment. Bonus earnings based on store performance and metrics.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the exceptional level of customer satisfaction in every aspect of the dining experience for your customers.
  • Provide training to all staff members to maintain store performance and meet business goals.
  • Establish restaurant business plans to meet financial objectives by surveying restaurant demand.
  • Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, and public and community programs.
  • Control purchases and inventory.
  • Maintain operations by following our policies and standard operating procedures, aiming for consistent productivity and quality.
  • Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food and beverage service offerings.
  • Accomplish restaurant staffing needs by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.
  • Ensure success of all promotions and specials by communicating with and providing training to staff.
  • Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Communicate changes of food preparations formulas, standards, etc. to staff.
  • Enforce that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policies are followed.
  • Maintain and organize business records including invoices, payroll files and supply ordering.
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs.
  • Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
  • Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.

Prerequisites:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment with experience in supervising staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. *Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be ServSafe certified.
  • Heartland terminal experience preferred, but not required.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft word and excel.
