This gap has only grown larger over time, creating a clear opportunity for a model that delivers critical mental health care at scale. Brave is on a mission to expand access to high-quality, affordable behavioral health care through a fully virtual community mental health center model, with a differentiated approach to serving Medicaid beneficiaries. Overview of Responsibilities

Seeking an entrepreneurial and motivated senior analytics engineer to

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Fivetran, Hightouch, and other relevant tools.
• Implement data models using DBT (Data Build Tool) to transform raw data into structured, analyzable formats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data integrity, reliability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, standards, and best practices.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve data infrastructure, efficiency, and scalability.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics.

Profile Attributes

Must-have

• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases.
• Experience with Fivetran or similar data integration tools for extracting, loading, and transforming data.
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and dimensional modeling techniques.
• Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for building and managing data transformation workflows.
• Familiarity with Python for scripting, data analysis, and automation tasks.
• Knowledge of ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards addressing technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Snowflake
• Knowledge of other programming languages such as Java or Scala.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the analytics or data engineering field.
• Knowledge and experience of Healthcare industry

Background & Personal

• 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related role.
• Ability to work independently, but simultaneously be an effective team player with a commitment to building trusting relationships and delivering results
• Ability to bring calm to difficult situations and discussions
• Hyper organized with frameworks, record keeping and documentation as well as ability to teach managers these skills
• Wired to recognize processes, frameworks, tools, workflows need to grow ahead of company growth to make our services more efficient to scale
• Really strong written and verbal communication - you are clear, a synthesizer, you know how to structure communication to a variety of stakeholders from the CEO, to an end-user
• You enjoy from the ground up builds and you don't mind tweaking/replacing legacy code
• As our most senior engineer on the BI team, you will bring thought leadership to paths, choices, prioritizations, and tradeoffs. You enjoy mentoring more junior resources.
